Koh Phangan
Koh Phangan is Koh Samui’s smaller neighbour. It attracts fewer visitors – except for the monthly Full Moon parties in southern Haad Rin. The island is mountainous with few paved roads inland so access to the exquisite boutique hotels here is by speed boat from Koh Samui.
The best hotels are centred around the north eastern beach of Thong Nai Pan which is one of the best on the island. Nightlife away from the hotels and party scene is relaxed, beach bar style.

Koh Phi Phi
Koh Phi Phi is iconically picturesque and was the setting for the film of Alex Garland’s The Beach (uninhabited Phi Phi Leh). Phi Phi Don is the main island with accommodation. The busy centre between the two main beaches attracts a younger crowd and can be lively.
Away from the centre you will have the island to yourself. A prime spot for diving and snorkelling the island can also be visited as part of a day trip. Access is best by speedboat from either Phuket or Krabi, both of which have airports linking to Bangkok.
